Support for each role in a blade project
Owners, OEM teams, contractors and inventory managers need different things from a blade project. Here is what each typically needs to decide, and what we ask for.
Asset owners and operators
Owners need a defensible scope, a realistic cost basis and records that support closeout and any external reporting. The key decisions are usually which receiving route to use, how to package work across sites, and which documentation is required.
- What we ask for: inventory location and condition, site rules, schedule, reporting needs
- Where to start: Wind Turbine Blade Recycling, Documentation
OEM and service project teams
Component replacement, failed blades and warranty work create inventories outside planned decommissioning. Teams need material removed on schedule with a clear chain of custody.
- What we ask for: count and type of blades, location, any constraints from the work order
- Where to start: Blade Cutting, Transportation
EPC, repowering and decommissioning contractors
Contractors need blade work to keep pace with lowering, protect laydown space and fit the overall schedule. Clear handoffs matter more than anything.
- What we ask for: lowering schedule, staging plan, interface responsibilities
- Where to start: Repowering Blade Management, Repowering logistics guide
Managers of accumulated blade inventories
Stored blades often have mixed provenance and condition. The first need is an accurate inventory and a phased plan.
- What we ask for: site map or description, photographs, any records of origin
- Where to start: Stockpile Processing, Inventory guide
